Discover the natural treasures of Tennessee and North Georgia

Kids in HuddleDAYS 1-3: BASE CAMP (OUTSIDE OF ATLANTA)

Spend three days getting to know each other, playing team building games, learning outdoor skills and wilderness first aid, and joining in camp-wide activities.

 

 

CavingDAY 4: CAVING OUTSIDE OF CHATTANOOGA, TN

Take a break from the hot sun as you go underground to explore the vast network of chambers, canyons, and tunnels at Raccoon Mountain Caverns. As you walk, crawl, and climb over, under, and through a rugged maze of varying rock, you will get a little dirty while having a lot of fun. After our tour, we'll be spending the night in the cave where it is always a comfortable 60 degrees - even on the hottest summer day.

 

Boy climbingDAY 5: ROCK CLIMBING IN LAFAYETTE, GA

There's nothing quite like the feeling of accomplishment you get when you reach the top of a climb.  The professional guides from Granite Arches will teach you the basics of rock climbing in the outdoors: movement on rock, knots, belay and rappel techniques. Whether you've been climbing your whole life, or the most climbing you've done is up the stairs, there will be something to challenge you at Rock Town.

 

HikingDAY 6: CANYON HIKE IN CLOUDLAND CANYON STATE PARK, GA

Cloudland Canyon is one of the most scenic parks in Georgia.  You'll follow the West Rim Trail out of the canyon and along a plateau, taking in magnificent views of neighboring Sand Mountain, and of Cloudland Canyon itself.


Teen snorkelingDAY 7: SNORKELING ON THE CONASAUGA RIVER, TN

Did you know you could go snorkeling in Tennessee??  The Conasauga River watershed is one of the most biologically diverse river systems in the United States and is home to more than 90 species of fish.  After putting on a wetsuit and mask, you'll spend the day floating on your stomach watching endangered species such as the logperch, the amber darter, and the blue shiner.

 

Trail WorkDAY 7 (afternoon): TRAIL RESTORATION PROJECT IN CHEROKEE NATIONAL FOREST, TN

Spend a few hours giving back, and helping to maintain the beautiful trails you've been enjoying.  Projects include constructing or repairing trail structures, removing rocks or fallen trees, and cutting back vegetation.

 

pnp_waterfalls.jpgDAY 8: WATERFALL HIKE IN CHEROKEE NATIONAL FOREST, TN

Explore the Cherokee National Forest in a place untouched by time and untouched by many human visitors. On this out and back hike, you'll pass countless swimming holes, waterfalls, and rock formations. Take a dip in the ice cold water and contemplate the wonder of nature on a hike only expereinced by a small few.

 

Girl holding Kiddush cupDAY 9-10: SHABBAT CELEBRATION IN UNICOI STATE PARK, GA

Shabbat is a time for rest, relaxation, and re-charging. Campers will come together to create a meaningful, communal experience. You'll be staying in the Squirrel's Nest campground at Unicoi State Park, enjoying one of the finest sand beaches in all of Georgia!

 

Girls in RaftDAYS 11-12: WHITEWATER RAFTING ON THE CHATTOOGA RIVER IN GA/SC

Deep gorges, awe-inspring scenery, pounding rapids and crystal clear waters are what you will find on the crown jewel of Southeastern whitewater, northeast Georgia's Chattooga River. Whether you want exciting rapids, breathtaking scenery, or a combination of both, the Chattooga won't let you down.

 

act_backpack.jpgDAY 13-15: BACKPACKING ON THE BARTRAM TRAIL, GA

For the backpacking trip, you will leave civilization behind for a couple days and hike a section of the historical Bartram Trail.  Along the trail, you'll see several beautful waterfalls, and great vistas as you work your way up to Rabun Bald, the second highest point in Georgia. At the top of Rabun Bald, you'll climb a stone tower to a viewing platform where you'll see incredible 360 degree views.

 

Teen on ziplineDAY 16: ZIPLINING IN BANNING MILLS, GA

Get ready to challenge yourself on one of the longest and highest canopy tours in the world! With almost 2 miles of cable, bridges, tree houses, and towers with several places over 200 feet in the air, the phrase "Tree Flight" definitely applies. You will zip line and traverse the cable and lily pad bridges from tree platform to tree platform as well as crisscross up to six times over the beautiful Snake Creek Gorge.

 

Shabbat ServicesDAYS 17 AND 18: BASE CAMP AND CLOSING CEREMONIES

At the very end of the session, the entire Adamah Adventures family will return to Base Camp to celebrate all that has been accomplished. The adventure concludes with a final Shabbat celebration and closing campfire ceremony.
